Diocese of Newark

Rebranding a Network for Justice, Mercy, and Renewal

2025 Honorable Mention, Polly Bond Awards

The Challenge

The Episcopal Diocese of Newark needed to clarify its identity as more than just a collection of churches—it’s a living network of faith communities committed to justice, mercy, and spiritual transformation. Their communications needed to reflect unity, clarity, and a sense of shared purpose, not just visual appeal.

Our Approach

Stoneroller Cooperative partnered with diocesan leadership in 2024 for a comprehensive rebrand—rooted in theological tradition and designed for practical, everyday impact.
  • We developed a new diocesan seal and a full logo family to serve parishes and programs across the diocese.
  • We authored a style guide to ensure every communication—digital or print—remained consistent, compelling, and mission-aligned.
  • Our collaboration extended to branding multiple diocesan conventions, creating visual identities, digital promotions, signage, programs, and ephemera tailored to each year’s theme and a multigenerational audience.
